One of the first things we do to start our day is to take a nice hot shower.. getting clean and fresh. It's quite shocking to think about..that when showering we are actually soaking up toxic chlorine and inhaling gaseous fumes- about the same amount as drinking 8 glasses of tap water. In fact 1/2 of your daily chlorine intake on average comes from your morning shower. Chlorine quickly bonds to organic matter such as skin and hair destroying the natural bacterial balance which can cause dryness, itching and flaking. Not only is this hard on the skin and hair.. but it has been proven to be a serious health risk and can cause hardening of the arties and increases in cancer. Chlorine gas is released in hot water and is entrapped within the confined air of the shower where there is little ventilation. The longer the shower, the greater the concentration chlorine gas in the air we are breathing. Filtering Chlorine from the shower will result in tangible and noticeably softer more manageable hair and healthier younger looking skin. There will be less fading in coloured and treated hair as well.
